The Main Entrance New, referred to as GEPIJO, serves as the primary access point to Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall from Jalan Merdeka. Rather than a conventional shop, it functions as the mall's gateway concourse, where visitors first arrive and orient themselves among the directory of retail, dining, and entertainment options.
Dataran Pahlawan itself occupies a historically significant site in Bandar Hilir. The original Dataran Pahlawan (Warriors' Square) was where Tunku Abdul Rahman announced the date of Malaya's independence on 20 February 1956, following the return of the Merdeka delegation from London. The Memorial Pengisytiharan Kemerdekaan (Proclamation of Independence Memorial) stands directly opposite the mall.
The mall entrance is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm. The megamall can be contacted at 06-283 2828. The entrance provides direct access to the upper ground floor, where newer tenants including KKV are located.
