Malacca Sentral is the principal bus terminal in Melaka, occupying 46.6 hectares of land and serving as the state's main transportation hub for intercity and express bus services. Opened on 14 May 2004, the terminal was designed with elements inspired by traditional Melaka Malay architecture and the structural style of KLIA, featuring high roofs that allow natural sunlight into the building. It is fully air-conditioned and regarded as one of the best-equipped terminals in the region.

The terminal is divided into two main sections: the bus terminal with ten centralised ticketing counters and twenty ticket vending machines for interstate services, and a bazaar area housing more than fifty tenants. The bazaar offers a food court, restaurants, grocery stores, and retail stalls. Over twenty bus operators run services from Malacca Sentral, including major names such as Delima Express, Transnasional, and Causeway Link, connecting Melaka to Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang, and destinations across Peninsular Malaysia.

Facilities include ATMs from CIMB, Bank Islam, and Affin Bank, a post office, money exchange counter, prayer rooms, lockers, and 24-hour secured parking. The terminal is located approximately 3.6km from Jonker Street and 4.1km from Dutch Square, making it the primary arrival and departure point for visitors travelling to Melaka by road.
